Estate Planning
The estate planning process begins in our office with a review of certain family and financial information from a prospective client. After analyzing the information the client is contacted to discuss preliminary recommendations. If you want to begin the process, contact our office to request a copy of our Estate Planning Questionnaire for your completion. Alternatively: 1) print out the appropriate form (Individual or Couple), complete the form, and send it to our office by mail (277 Pinewood Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32303), email to thefirm@mathewslawfirm.com, or fax it to us at (850) 681-2998.
Although you should not spend an inordinate amount of time gathering the information on these forms, we have found that having this data available will aid both of us in focusing on estate planning issues. Of particular importance is the family information and at least rough estimates of the requested financial information, including the specific ownership of each asset (individual, husband, wife, joint, or trust). Although this covers a lot of information, it is necessary to the planning process and, perhaps more importantly, its completion at the outset enables us to keep costs down for you.
If you have any questions about the form, call our office at (850) 681-9303, and we will be happy to assist you.
